So I went in Thursday for my day 4 follow up to my tummy tuck and lipo. Dr replaced by belly button bandage which was soaked in blood from the day of surgery. It stayed white for about half a day, if that. Its now saturated in blood. Its not coming outside of the plastic portion of the band aid but has soaked the gauze portion. I called Friday and they asked how much blood and did not seem too concerned. I just worry about the trapped moisture. How was your belly button healing time and what was the process like? So far Ive had some intense constipation which is starting to finally be done and the lipo areas are starting to hurt more than ever. I have some stinging and tenderness at my incision and lots of muscle soreness but this still feels wayyyyyyyyy worth it.
Any input on the belly button would be super amazing!

Jen

I'm 20 days out from lbl/bl. I never had any bleeding from my belly button. Not even a drop. My belly button is awesome.

I'm w/ Laura, no blood from my belly button or actually any incisions at all after my LBL. As for the lipo, that was the most painful part of my LBL recovery. It wasn't horrible but more of a deep brusing feeling that lasted for weeks. Every step I seemed to be able to feel it.

No bleeding from my belly button, not even when the incision came apart.

I would go to the ER and get the bleeding checked out.  it sounds excessive imho

I had a small bit of blood but none to the point of soaking a bandage at all.

I'm 7 weeks post fleur de lis tummy tuck & brachioplasty.

No bleeding around belly button.  The incision around belly button is still bright red, but smooth.  I have a "open" area at 12 o'clock that is filling in nicely and I've had to clip some suture that worked it's way through.  I wear a 2X2 sterile gauze over it and have some dried drainage when the small opening is closing.

Don't know how far away your PS is - I take pictures with my phone and email them to my PS (since he is 4 hours away) and they phone me back and give me advice.

At least with bleeding - you know circulation is good.  I would think "pressure" would help - do you wear abdominal binder or compression garment??

No bleeding from mine, either.

I did get a super tiny opening at 12 o'clock, but it oozed - no blood.  It's gone now.

I'd call in the am and make an appointmen to be seen.
