OK, I'm still swollen from my lbl and my waist is currently bigger than it was pre-op (and I'll admit that's freaking me out a lil bit), but it's getting better. My girls and I went to a "Sweet 16" party last night. We didn't stay very long at all, but it was fun getting fixed up and getting out of the house....

Morning Laura!
Glad to see you're getting out and around. Your girls are beautiful!

Whats your energy level like these days?
When do you go back to work? I had the LBL , and currently have 5 drains. I go back to see dr. this wednesday. Have all your drains been removed?

I get so excited to see post ops postings! Thanks again,

Thanks!! I'm a teacher so I have another month off. My drains were removed on day 10, otherwise I prolly would not have gone to the party.

My energy comes and goes. I still take one nap a day, sometimes two. I'm allowed one outing a day. If I had to, I could be back at work, but my surgeon really wanted me to take 6 weeks off, which was do-able since I'm off for the summer.

Hi Laura,
Thanxs for sharing your information, hoping I'll continue on my healing without any hiccups. I'm a  teacher too, but a pre-school teacher.

Our school is year round, as I work for a hospital that provides care for thier employees. Our numbers are low this summer, I have now 4 weeks left to rest. I will have 1 week to get my room in order. But I pre-set up everything. I discussed with my employer that if worse comes to worse I will be back last two days to tidy the room up. So I am ahead of the other teachers from our school, I was able to meet with my next group of children and get their pictures already done. Currently, my room is being used for summer camp, so I pappered over certain materials, so I can just remove the paper and go from their. I have this time now to re-work my curriculum, which I really LOVE doing!

Thanks again for replying back,

Beautiful! Cute girls too!!

Thanks for posting this.

I'm 3 weeks away and my nerves are getting the best of me.

I'm a realist. Been a surgical nurse for 24 years.

But all that has gone out the window now that I'm the patient!!
