Before and after..now up on profile...
Cyndy,
Thanks for the response, I have been trying to figure out if the level of pain was up there with the RNY or was a little less. From what I have been hearing from different people it's a little less but the discomfort lasts longer. So I think I will be ok after 5 weeks. Dr. told me I could take 4 weeks off and resume normal activity after that. But I decided on an extra week, then the week I come back I only work like 2 or 3 days. So I'll have almost 6 weeks off before really getting back to the grind.
Thanks again, hope your recovery goes well.

I had LBL with butt aug 7 weeks ago and I couldn't be back in a physical job right now. It's not due to pain, necessarily, but I'm tight and will swell with a lot of activity and I feel like if I did much more than I do now, then I might be hurting.,,,,,having said that, I have 4 small kids that I'm taking care of and doing basically all my normal household duties and I work full time, so it's not like I'm sitting around doing nothing.......Hell, maybe I could be in a warehouse! LOL!
Really, though, I had prepared myself for A LOT of pain and never really had it. What I didn't prepare myself for was how long it would be until I was normal again. I'm still not normal and that's frustrating. I had expected to be by 4 weeks out.

Thanks for the feedback, I've been kinda nervous about it, not scared but just nervous and I didn't know what kind of pain or how long it would be. So, I kind of have an idea now, I know there will be pain for a while but more discomfort than anything in the weeks following. So I got almost 3 weeks to go and we will see.

I had my LBL 7 weeks ago and it REALLY helped with my saggy old lady butt! I also had an auto-augmentation of the butt done at the same time, so that it wouldn't be completely flat. You can check out my before and afters on my profile if you want to see how it improved my butt, too.
It did help my thighs, but as some of the swelling has gone down, they are a bit saggier than in those 2 week photos.....still a lot better than they were, though!
I'd do it again. I might skip the butt aug as that was the longest recovery (still can't lie flat on my back), but it really wasn't all that bad and I'm sure I'll be glad I did it once I am back to normal.
