Before and after..now up on profile...
You look amazing -- what a difference!! How are you feeling? I am considering having plastics soon and am torn whether to have the LBL or just a TT and BL/BA. I get different opinons from surgeons. One surgeon I saw said I definitely needed all three and used the words, "You would look amaing?" and the other surgeon (I haven't had a consult with her just have talked with her) said she doesn't think in her opinion a person gets the results they want for the extra money and pain they endure having the LBL. I am considering having the LBL because I have saggy skin in my bottom area and legs that I think the lift will help. But I am concerned that I will lose too much of my bottom. So I hope you don't mind me "thinking out loud" to you. I would appreciate your honest opinion now that you have had the surgery. Your TT looks amazing. I know you must feel fantastic having your tummy flat!
Hi Vicky...
Thank you, I feel soooo much better.!! I did not have a lot of pain. My pain came only from an intense burning in the muscle left of my belly button...My surgeon moved 11.10 pounds of skin, fat and flab...Today, I have 15 pounds of swelling, so I know I'm going to look even flatter with time...As you can see my back side is very flat, but I still have muscle that can be worked to increase the size of my bottom...I would do the surgery over in the blink of an eye...I hope to have the inner thighs, and an upper lift with my arms and neck done at one time, hopefully, next year...I will be saving up for the next go round...My breast are not that bad, just the side/boob that rolls and rolls out from under my bra..(I HATE THAT) The LBL did help some with my legs and inner thighs, but not as much as I would like.
I have been amazed at the way I feel and the way I no longer have that HUGE panni..!!!
I think whatever you decide, you will be happy with the results...Th best to you as you find the PERFECT surgery and surgeon for you..!!

P.S..the intense burning that I had, is gone now, and I walk almost straight, and yesterday was wk. one..!

Thank you Cindy for your reply. I can relate to the burning sensation you feel. I have three children and my second child was born emergency c-section. At the time, I had a water bed and let me tell you, it was a killer getting in and out of that bed. I had intense buring in my incision area so I know how you must be feeling. But like you said, the burning went away in a few days.
Thank you for your comments about my surgery. As you can tell if you go to my profile before pictures -- the one in my swimsuit, I had alot of "butt" lol In fact, I still have my same shape, just alot smaller -- I have continued to keep my curves and I'm happy for that. I lost 95 pounds and have been maintaining for the past 2 1/2 years. Had the VSG August 18, 2008. I too, am like so many on this board, feel that having lost the weight and from years of being overweight and having babies, my body deserves to look the best that it can and with the blessing of having VSG and good plastic surgeons in my area, I am sure I will be happy with the results. It's just alot of money to spend and when I think of having a doctor cut me in half, I want the best possible surgeon. I will continue to do my research and continue to talk with ladies such as yourself, who have already had the LBL, TT, BL/BA and gleen from their experiences. Thanks again for your time and I wish you continued healing and recovery.

Hey congrats on your surgery. I have mine scheduled for Aug 12 less than 30 days away. How is your level of pain or discomfort now? Is it really bad? I have a physical job and I am taking 5 weeks off. I'm going back to work after 3 weeks but only 2 weeks in a desk job, so I will be off full duty for 5 weeks, do you think that would be enough time?

Paul..
I may not be the best person to answer your question. I was one wk., out from surgery, yesterday, but I can tell you, my pain level has been very low...I vacumed my house today, and I have to say, I really should not have done it...I don't think I injured myself, but I can tell you, I will not be doing that for a while, again...I have had very little pain at all...Just an intense burning in the muscle, left of my BB...That has now gone away, but it was very intense and brutal while it lasted...It's gone now, and I have no other pain...I'm getting stronger everyday...and I'm 54 years old...I think I did excellent for an oldie..!! :D
If I continue to heal as well as I am now, I could see myself being a lot stronger in four more wks., but I don't think doing hard manual labor would be too wise...Maybe, someone will chime in that is out at least 5 to 6 wks., and will answer your question, better...
The best to you, as you go through this next stage in your weight loss journey..!!
