LBL in two weeks with Dr. Quiroz

Has anyone had surgery with Dr. Quiroz?  Can you guys tell me about your experience please! I would love to read about patients who have had both good and bad experiences with him.

Recently, I came across a lady's comment in which she said that many times patients who have had bad experiences rarely review their doctors, whereas people who are happy are more likely to post.  After reading her comment, i realized that she was right!  I had a horrible experience with my Gastric bypass (and i knew two other patients who experienced horrible complications with the same doctor the same year as my surgery) and i never posted a review and neither did the other two patients....clearly, she has a point.

So please, I would love to hear both good and bad experiences.

Thanks!!!!

Quiroz has a horrible reputation. Type in his name at the top of the page and read some of them yourself. Or do a google search...

he has done some nasty work on patients on this sight their incisions looked like road maps, I wouldnt let him do surgery on me for free, try Dr. Sauceda in Mx he gets a lot of great reviews and he has his own site I never used him but his work is remarkable if I was going out of the country he would be my choice
GOOD LUCK

My real regret at Cosmed is not looking for reviews of Dr. Quiroz' work.  I think I spent more money on the "free" revisions than I did for the surgical fees.  I just kept hoping he'd fix the botched areas and things would get better.  Talk about having your head in the sand!  My body looks like a road map as well and I'm slowly getting the lumpy scar tissue removed here in the US.  My doctors have been very kind, never saying they thought the work I had done at Cosmed was substandard, but the expressions on their faces when they look at my body says it all.

In hindsight, I would have saved my money and had the work done here.  At least then I would have recourse... not much you can do about it when you have problems in Mexico.

Personally, I wouldn't send a rat to Dr Quiroz.  A woman here almost died.  He did major surgery on her and then put her in a taxi and sent her alone to a hotel.  Horrible!  There is not one doctor here in the states who would do such a dangerous thing!

As Laura says put his name in the top and search for info.  You will be shocked!

I went to Dr Sauceda in Monterrey!  It's all inclusive.  You stay at the hospital and then HE takes you to the Hampton Inn and you must stay in the country for 10-14 days depending upon his specific requirements!

Seriously, do not consider Dr Quiroz!

Dee, I was looking back through the archives trying to find an update from the last person who said they were going to use Quiroz and they never posted an update after their surgery.

Interesting.....

I have yet to see anyone of his patients return to report they are happy!  Yes, trolls appear and then disappear - but true patients have yet to return.  I think that says it all!

I was also sent home within hours of my procedure despite having episodes of vomiting.  One nurse was holding a bag for me to vomit in while the other was pulling my shirt on over my head!  I was alone at the hotel and didn't remember much about the first day because of the effects of anesthesia.  For all my other procedures I was kept overnight, but not this last time.  I had surgery on a Monday and didn't see Dr. Quiroz until Friday, right before I went home.  When I returned home and removed my bandages (he didn't remove them or look at the work during my "post op") I saw he had operated on the wrong side of my breast!  I would steer clear of Cosmed, if at all possible.  Things have really changed there in the past five years, not sure why.

Absolutely agree with Cleo, get out of it as soon as possible.  I hope you haven't sent him any money yet.  Your own well-being is at stake!
