RELAX!  It will go fine!  I was nervous too (more nervous than my WLS as well) b/c I felt unprepared.  I promise you it was nothing compared to what I had made it in my head!  I woke up from anethesia better than ever, was limited in arm movement, but could move my arms enough to go to the bathroom and get dressed.  (Don't worry about the bra!)  I have been living in a cami with a built in bra that I can pull from my legs up and elastic waist band shors.   I actually put a bra on (by myself) yesterday to go to my dr. appt.  I have stopped taking pain meds for the most part.  I tool Tylenol last night because I couldn't get comfortable.

If you have any questions I would be happy to answer as it is pretty fresh in my mind!  I know everyone's surgery is different, but I have no problem sharing my experience.

You sound like me...more scared of the IV than anything else.  I swear the thoughts of getting IV's freak me out.  I need meds just to get through the IV, lol.  And I've had 2 c-sections, wls and an lbl/bl.  Next round will be arms and again all I can think of is the damn IV!  I'm not even afraid of post op pain just the IV.  I swear I'm such a *****

Hi Jervis,
relax u r in great hands. I cant see any veins in my foot & my Melissa she found it, she is in the pre-op there, u will be fine, I gave u my # if u r nervous give me a call & I will talk u thru it and your IV will not fall out u r lying still n u r asleep, just keep thinking of the outcome and u will forget the fear, actually the arms was my easiest surgery, I was so scared I thought how will I eat how will i handle going to the bathroom and I was able to do it all it was hard the first night with the ace bandages almost to the wrist but when he took them off I had full movement of my arms couldnt pick anything up that had any weight to it but I could hold a fork. I had my surgery on Monday and was driving on Thursday
