Home from DR. Visit.....
Hi Scrappylove...
Wow, you have/had 5 drains..?! I have only three...and just having the three is very cumbersome, so I can only imagine, how you can deal with five of those buggers..
YAY, for losing those 8.1 pounds...Isn't it amazing..?!!
I'm looking forward to seeing how I look in clothes, too...I can already tell, by just the lounge wear, that it's very baggy in front, where ALL my weight has been...When I look down at my body, I'm amazed at what I DON'T see...MY ONCE, HUGE SPARE TIRE...!! IT'S GONE, GONE, GONE..!!!
Continued success and continued healing...

Don't want to burst your bubble - I would stay off the scales while your drains are in. Once drains are out there is swelling - so your "before" plastics pants may not fit - especially with an abdominal binder. Some of the other shapewear holds us in and is more accomodating to jeans and pants.
This is temporary for a few weeks and then you will fit into your clothes.
I'm 6 weeks post fleur de lis (anchor cut) abdominoplasty - still wearing a shapewear corset with stays and shapewear briefs - I'm still wearing my pre-op pants size, but I'm OK with that.
I have lost 5 pounds since plastics - don't know if it was skin weight loss or because of loss of appetite and taking in fewer calories.
Best wishes.

cindy yes this dr. is conservative especially with Bariatric patients. He wants to make sure I'm really healing beofre moving onto the next step.
He says he's happy with my recovery. I'm pretty much standing straight the stitches in the back are healing nicely except for the patch of dead skin on the tummy he's pleased and I'm pleased.
I tried putting on reg clothes (I've been wearing draw string bermuda shorts especially since it's triple digits here) and my levi capris fit snug. I know there's still swelling and these drains are in the way, but I had to try. Also did weigh myself and the scale shows I've lost 8 lbs so far hope to see more when the swelling goes down.
