Up Date...
Hello Everyone...
I'm doing very well...I'm able to walk a little farther and I slept really well last night in my lift chair.
Getting up to a standing position is getting much easier...The burning, on one side, is still intense on standing, but it is getting better...I'm moving slow and steady..
I'm going to attempt to shower today, and I'm really concerned about that, but my hubby will be close by...I have NOT looked in the mirror at my body...I only look down and see what I look like when we are pouring out the drain bulbs...I'm not sure why I haven't looked at my body in the mirror...The only part of my body that I have seen in the mirror has been my back side in the hospital and that was very brief...When I start my shower later today, I will take a close look and try and take some pictures so you can all see the change...My Surgeon said, I was going to be so amazed...For some reason, I'm kind of afraid to see..Is that not odd..?? He told me he removed 11 pounds and 10 ounces...that's closer to 12 in my eyes...I can't imagine a 12 # tire being gone from around me...I think I'm afraid I will look the same, as before, but I also know that that would not be the case...I know, I know, I'm a silly-willy..!!!
I have been peeing like there is no tomorrow...pooping, is still a no show...but I'm taking stools softners..took three at one time last night, drank a cup of coffee this morning...STILL NOTHING..!! I'm getting concerned...because I know it's going to be tough to do..!!!!
I'm Happy that the surgery is behind me and the healing is in motion...I will up date later, with pictures, I hope..You will have to be a friend to view.

I am so happy you are doing well. Praying you hav that BM already, and that it will be smooth sailing!
My surgery is gtomorrow @ 7:15. Got my stool softener, protien shakes and fiber cereal (which I will ground up to add tgo my shakes).
Bought a walker and a raised toliet seat with the arms on it yesterday at a thrift store. And I am borrowing a recliner from my friend. But after reading that so many of u have gotten lift up seats, hoping I wil be ok. I live in a town home, so I plan on staying downstairs. I have big sliding glass windows that face the lake, so hoping that will lift my spirits while dealing with the intial pain.
Thanks so much for sharing your progress,
Can I be your friend? Huh, can I?

I/m glad things are going well. I am glad to hear your progress as round 2 will be abdominoplasty, inner thigh lift, and outer thigh lipo.
How long will your drains stay in? Mine come out tomorrow! :-0 I am hoping it doesn;t hurt as bad as the dainage ube from the RNY or my feeding tube. The good part I guess is that most of my incision is numb so hopefully I wont feel much!
Hi Amy..
I chickened out on getting a shower, although my surgeon said it was fine...My husband bathed me off really well and he went and bought Pssssst dry shamppo for me..I see the surgeon tomorrow and will take a shower after my visit with him.
I looked in the mirrow and can tell the tire is gone, but I do have a lot of swelling...I think I am going to be very happy with the results...I will have the drains for up to three wks., but I've not leaking as much today as yesterday..
I will get back to you..
