13 days post lbl/bl~ drove today!!

I'm now 13 days post lbl/bl and I drove today for the first time. I felt so "normal"...lol. I just dropped my kids off at daycamp, so it was a quick trip. I'm trying my best not to overdo it so I heal better.

I took my measurements a few days ago and was crushed to realize my waist is 4 inches larger than it was pre-op (pre-op: 27", post-op 31"). I know it's due to swelling, but I was so depressed!! Today I took my measurements again and my waist is now 29". 2 down, 2 and who knows how much more to go!! I feel so much better now that I'm not as bloated.

Still so thankful to Dr. LoMonaco for making me feel "whole" again!!

lol...I know, I know, but I'm a numbers geek and had to have a starting point to go forward from!!

I'm 21 days out and haven't driven. Hubby won't let me which is fine. I did not measure myself- yet. I did weigh myself one time and I was down 5 lbs. But I promised myself not again til after the drains are out....

So glad you're feeling better.  Once you get over "the hump" it all down hill from there.  Your waist will be back to normal and probably better in no time.  Dr. L is the bomb!!
