Laura, my insurance paid in full for my RNY except for my $3.00 co-pay and I was approved withing 5 days of submission......same with panniculectomy......so I thought that because my breast are so long and rashes and upper back, shoulder and neck pain plus a tear in my left shoulder they would approve....nope

and then thighs were denied a few days later.....

did you hhave insurance pay for any of your work done including your nose, I am not sensitive you know us sistas have chunk noses and since I lost weight my nose looks like a "door knob" on my face....

if you had insurance would you mine sharing the name of the company.....mine was Peachstate which is my chosen HMO form of Medicaid and the best plan I chose here in GA since I am a homemaker......but if you self-payed......what am I looking at for just a breast lift (no implants), thighplasty, armlift (brachioplasty), butt lift, and nose job.....you can pm the details if you want to keep it private.....I really want this work done now while I still have the nerves to go through with it!

Plus I admit, I am so envious of your body......you look amazing, you have healed beautifully and you such a sweet person to be still healing and helping us by sharing your experience.....I try to  do the same too!

Girl, I have decided you are my new "bariatric-cyber-best-friend"!!  Thanks so much for the kind words. My insurance did not pay for any of my body work. Back before I lost weight I dreamed my insurance would pay for a breast reduction and I would get my tummy done at the same time to save money. But then my boobies decided to disappear completely so that shot that plan.

I had my nose done 20 years ago and my parents' insurance did pay for all $7000 of that surgery because of my deviated septum, but I think it was probably easier to get insurance to pay for things back in the day.

I'm impressed you only had to pay $3 for your RNY. I had to pay $3000.

I'll PM you the rest....

Laura
