Surgery date set in stone eeeeek!

Well I am having surgery to repair my very large ventral hernia with TT on August 8, 2011.  I will have two surgeons, Chief general and the Chief PS.  They said it will be a 3-6 hours surgery.  I will be inpatient due to my heart problems but they do not foresee any issues with that. 

On top of this, I just buried my father Feb, 7, my g-ma Dec 12 and my Uncle Sept 12.  Now my father-in-law is on Hospice comfort care and may have 2 days if that left.  I also had a abcessed tooth cut out yesterday.  Please pray that my world will calm down soon. 

I have been officially moved to Winter 2012 starting Jan for medical school at NOVA.  They are not going to make me pay the fees again thank God.  I was heart broken that I will not start this Fall but my health is very important so I can be 100%.

Doctors say I will not be recovered enough to even set in class because my hernia is huge and the surgery will be hard on me at age 49.  So my life gets moved around once again. lol. 

Just need lots of prayers to get threw this.

I am so sorry for your recent losses and I pray for your father-in-law.  I also pray that your life will "calm" down as I am sure it will.  Just take one day at a time.

I am so excited to get this over with and to start off a new year with good things to come hopefully.  My wonderful father-in-law is still hanging on but is non-responsive.

Hi Carla, so sorry to hear about all you have been dealing with.  Sometime when it rains, it pours.  Been there, too.

You must be so excited to have a surgery date.  That's great!  And I'll sure be swingin critters and saying a prayer.

Wow this has been some year for me but I have a strong faith and I hold on to the "God never puts on you what you can not handle".  I try to not question it. 

My father-in-law is still hanging in there but non-responsive.  Just waiting is so bruital on our entire family.  Thank God he did not pass on the 7th, My dad just passed Feb 7th this year. 

I am excited about this surgery getting over with and I am not quite sure what its gonna be like to not have all this hanging skin and huge bulging hernia any more.  I wonder if I will moarn that loss too lol.  Sorry just trying to find some humor somewhere.

I am trying to dream about how life will be after this surgery.  I have felt pregnant for 22 years.  I never thought all this hanging panni would ever be gone. 

I am standing on faith right now to get thru losing my wonderful loving father-in-law.  My poor husband has never lost anyone that close.  Losing my dad was hard on him this past Feb.  Now he is losing his dad. 

We both pray for a new better year to come for the us and the whole world.

Wow you are close.  I will be having my surgery at Lee Memorial with Dr. Shieh (general) & Dr. Wittenborn (cheif PS).  I cannot wait to get this our of the way.  Since losing all this wt and not having a huge fear of regain I am ready to run with my life.  I missed out on way too much. 

My father-in-law passed at 1 Am this morning.  So I am packing to head to Ohio once again for a bad visit.  I hope I can greive all this years losses quickly and get on with it.  I don't want to sound negative, I just want some happy times now.  No more sad. 

March is a good month for your surgery.  I will be bringing in my 50th birthday then with a bang.  Wt gone check, saggy belly/hernia gone check and I start Med school at NOVA in Jan.  Wish me luck.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your father in law.  I will say a prayer for you.

I am meeting with Dr Bruno in Fort Myers tomorrow morning at 9 am for a consult.
I am also working with Dr Sauceda in Mexico.  After tomorrow I will know which doctor I will be using.  Dr Sauceda has been wonderful thus far.  I would love to go to Mexico.
