Update - Did your LBL turn out the way you expected?

Today was my 3rd post-op appt. - 15 days out of surgery.  I still have one drain as it is putting out over 100 cc. a day and so it looks like it will be another week.

I addressed my concerns with the surgeon today and he agreed that especially the one saddlebag is back.  He said the skin stretched and there were a couple of options - including literally having a vertical scar on the outside of my hip to remove it, doing a 50% amt. of lipo which would leave the skin saggy, or trying to pull more up again.  I explained that I cannot afford any more procedures.

Maybe my outcome is due to my age or amount of weight loss or just my skin, who knows.  But at some point I will just have to accept that I didn't get the results I was looking for.  My expectations were after working so hard to lose the weight and all the exercise I did, I just wanted to look normal.

I am so sorry you did not get the results you expected. He should be offering to do it pro-bono since it sounds like he did not do what needed to be done.

 I was happy except that he left a muffin top which was something I had specifically asked him to address.  Because of that I am using a different surgeon for the upper body lift and he assured me that he can take care of the muffin top with the upper body lift. I'm sorry you didn't get what you wanted.

He sould be doing this revision for free.  I know my surgeon will do revisions for free, (although you have to pay for the facility and anestethisa since they are not a part of his contract,) if the area is brought to his attention in the first 30 days.  You are well within the 30 days.
