Tomorrow I will drive to Montréal for my revision of my lapband (8hours drive).  While I will drive,  I will pray for you and I KNOW  all your wishes will become truth.   Right now  is 3:10 pm here in the Maritimes and tomorrow at that time, you  will be done and you will be in recovry my dear.   All ex-surgery patients like me,  we know that this will be a long healing time for you but I know that you will go through with a smile and your husband too.

Talk to you soon !

I will be praying for you.

I was overnight in a hospital and I got a cheese omlet for all 3 meals I was there to get in protein. (I figured the oil would help grease the intestines, too.)

Take stool softners with your narcotics and chug the water or hot tea or whatever.

At home I made fruit smoothies with whey isolate powder in the blender.  I made protein ice cream, protein pudding, hot protein latte and whey isolate protein powder (BSN cinnamon bun) in 0% fage greek yogurt with 1/2 c pumpkin puree).

I pretty much lived on liquids for a few days - then hubby made sloppy joes (I do ok with meat if it is ground) and I warmed some up with melted cheese on top.

I tried for 130gm protein a day for the first few weeks - now I try for 100-130 gm - but I have an open wound that still needs to heal.

I also took a quart size ziploc with paper towel inside - just in case I got "sick" on the drive home.  Didn't need it but did have to get it out because I was really nauseated.

Take a long soak in the tub tonight, drink some hot camomile tea and get to bed.  Best wishes.

Hi Cyndy!
Prayers going up! I'm excited for you! Your attitude is GREAT! And something tells me, that even if life were to give you lemons, you'd find away to make lemonade!

Prayers going up for all those who will be playing a part in your surgery, from the registration nurse to the attendant who will wheel you to your car when you leave to go home!

Will be remembering you and your team.

I could not eat for the most part - my pouch felt like ir had right after my RNY - so I had my protein coffee and favorite chocolate protein shakes through out the day.  I did eat some greek yogurt and cottage cheese and a boiled egg once in a while, but for the most part I drank my protein - which is not unusual for me because I drink more than I eat.

Just think, this time tomorrow and the surgery will be over!!!
