lbl 15 days out

feeling pretty good except Dr. refused to remove the 5- YES 5 drains. They're hardly collecting anything out but his words were "you and I will both be happier with the results if we wait longer".

I did get chewed out. My hubby let out of the bag that I passed out on the 4th. Now I have to drink 3 shakes and 64 oz water a day. It's not that I'm not eating, But since the meds make me sleep alot I'm not getting enough.

It's hard after all, I've spent 2 yrs watching the amount I eat... but I did have 2 shakes today and 64 0z of water,,, hubby made sure of it....

Wow! Scary that you passed out! I'm getting my last 2 drains out on Friday, which will be 10 days post-op for me.

Yeah, I passed out my 2nd week post op.  I was getting my fluid and protein (130gm protein a day).  I think I stood up too fast - if that is possible after anchor cut and brachioplasty!! Ha.

As hot as it is, I'm trying to get in extra fluid.  I had 4 drains plus pain pump tubes - hated taking a shower with all that.

Mine came out at 3 weeks, but then had to have fluid removal with needle and syringe in abdomen and arms and that wasn't fun either.

You gotta do what you gotta do.
