Grrr... I just typed all this and then it vanished.

Got my CC increased already from $5200 to $6300, but I need $10,000. Maybe $1000 I can do in cash...

Carecredit is the only financing of that nature that the MD I picked takes. He does take credit cards(I don't have any but I guess I could start applying?), and recommends bank or credit union loans (I do have a credit union account).

I can afford the payments, my take home is ~$2800/mo... what do you guys recommend trying next as far as lenders go?

Should I try the credit union next?

If you can get a loan from your credit union or bank - go for it!  That is the curse of the WLS journey.  The "balloon" payment for plastic surgery at the end!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

I will end financing my WLS and plastics with a 401k from work. I realize most people might scoff at this but this was for my health and the way I was I wouldn't have even been old enough to collect the way I was going. Interest rates are really low right now and i borrowed 20 grand and am only paying back like 2300 dollars so something to think about if you have one where you work.

Good luck,

Many credit unions have personal loans from about 9%. Sometimes if you car is paid for you can take a loan against it - more like 3-6%. The no interest credit card can be REALLY BAD idea, if you don't pay it back in time you get some godawful interest charges. If you are 100% sure you can pay it back in the timeframe then it's an idea. Good luck
