Hi everyone!  Thought I would just update how I'm doing post op.  Yesterday I had my 2nd ps appt and I mentioned that one of my JP drains wasn't keeping the vacuum.  Time for it to come out.  Yea!  So now I'm just down to 1 vs. starting with 4.  Sounds crazy, but it is so much easier not to have all of them.

Attempted sleeping in a real bed for the first time and it went ok.  Was just tired of the recliner.  I am still doing extra protein, fiber, etc. and feel really good.  Everything is tight when I get up from sitting for a while, etc. but then it gets better.  Have swelling but I know that just takes time.  Was told that as soon as my last drain comes out (they think Tues or Wed) that it is picture time.  Will be interesting to compare the before and after.

It's a whole new world when that last drain comes out. Don't forget to keep your protein intake levels up and don't skimp on calories right now, either. Your body needs them to heal. All the best in your healing journey!
