Implants and feeling fat?

I'm going for a brachio... and I'll be paying it off until I'm dead lol, so there really isn't any reason for me to be thinking about further surgeries... but the mind does wander doesn't it!

I've been looking at new boobies on all the surgery sites I've been browsing...

Lifts often seem to turn out better when they reshape the breast over an implant instead of just trying to work with "what's left."

So here is my question, just because I'd love to know if others have had these thoughts:

I was a 42D at my highest. I associate my having big boobs with being fat (I got fat as a pre-teen, so I never had boobs without being fat). There's a part of me that wants nice normal-looking boobs... and part of me that fears even B-cup implants would make me feel well... big in a bad way. Am I alone in that?

I was a DD before I lost weight and went down to a small B, large A. I had a BL/BA and I am now a 36 D, which I think is just right. I am very glad I had the augmentation, and I don't feel fat at all with it.

I was a 34HH at my highest weight, and a 30F or FF at my low weight.  I was concerned that the lift would look square or flat and wide like others that I've seen, but decided that I'd rather go with a lift alone and add implants later if I wanted them.  I did a lot of research, and chose a surgeon who does great breast-work.  He spent hours on my boobs, and said they were the hardest pair he'd ever done, but when I woke up, they were perfect, and they are still round now that the swelling has gone down.  People have already been asking if I've lost weight, and I never realized that my enormous boobies, even when held high in a supportive bra, did make me look heavier than I am.  I couldn't be happier!  Of course, I'm not sure what size I am since I haven't gone bra-shopping yet..... probably a 32C?

I chose not to have implants, not because I thought I'd feel big, although I do think that now, but because I didn't want that fake look, and because I didn't want the maintenance of implants.  I also felt that my results from the lift would last better if my breasts were not made extra-heavy with an implant. I don't regret my decision to go implant-free at all!

You have time to think about it, so don't worry too much now!

I did a lot of looking at pictures - and personally I prefer the "before" pics of many surgeon's over the breast implant pics!  I find that super-rounded boob looks weird to me.  Maybe because I've had saggy boobs for so long! lol

Anyway - I'm going for a lift only.  I was a 44DD at 300lbs, and I'm a 32C now (mostly skin).  I'm hoping for a relatively full B cup at the end...but I'm ok with small breasts.  As long as they don't sag and flop around like now!  I find I can't wear a demi-cup bra because when I move around, the extra skin can kinda "fall" out of my bra...I'm hoping my new, smaller boobs will sit tighter in a "chicken chop" filled bra!

It really all comes down to personal preference and how you would like to look and most importantly which look you are comfortable with. I had large breasts all my life. Not etremely large like others have mentioned but I was at my largest a DD. I also have broad shoulders and I carry DD's without looking out of proportion or fat. After my weight loss I had D long tubes of skin. I did not feel feminine at all even though I was a size 6-8. I had implants because just a lift would have given me about a B cup and that would not have been in proportion to my frame. I like the way my implants fill out the tops of my breasts, but that is a look that *I* prefer. Others don't. Go for what you personally like and feel comfortable with.

I, too, think it all comes down to personal preference.  That's why implants come in all sizes, and why some people even decide on just a lift without implants.

I had a breast lift with implants 2 months ago and am now a 34D.  They're big, but to me not too big, and dont make me feel fat in the least.

IMHO there is a difference between boobs that are "fat" and those that are just full or even big.

But to each her own, you have to go with the look YOU like.  Everyone has their own preferences, I always say "that's why Baskin Robbins has 31 flavors" :)

Thanks to everyone who answered. I hope no one misunderstood me... I don't think big chests look bad on other people at all (or look fat at all). I was just wondering because I seem to associate them that way on my own body and I was curious if others felt that way.

I understood what you meant, and don't think anyone was offended.  It's a deeply personal thing, and you have to think about how you will feel about your body, so it's good to see how other people have come to the decision, and how they feel about their results
