I'm with you..... if the scar is going to be 'worse' than it's worth - why do it??

Tessy - you look fabulous!  How's the butt??  :-)

Seriously I do not understand when people say that. Old lady saggy arms are NOT attractive in the least. My scars are not the best, but I get TONS of compliments on my arms and mostly from people who do not know I've lost weight or had bracchioplasty. My arms are AWESOME, scars and all.

Oh no, Laura!  Please don't misunderstand me!!!

I've seen PS done on arms and I think it's an amazing improvement.... makes me green with envy!!

What I meant is MY arms don't really justify 'major' surgery.  I have wrinkly skin, but not much in the way of 'batwings'.  Not sure if the scar wouldn't bug me as much as the wrinkles.

Makes sense??

I am just starting my research - so my "opinions" may evolve as time goes on (and my knowledge increases!).

Laura - I bet your arms ARE awesome!!!  No doubt they are much more attractive than my 'old lady' arms!

Ditto what Julie said.  I have very minimal batwings, so to speak.  They're not that saggy at all.  It's just a bit of wrinkliness at the top when my arms are down to my sides that bothers me.  So, for me, a long scar down my arm is not worth it......I just don't have significant enough batwings to justify the scar (to me).

My arms have nothing to do with your arms.

Yup, a long scar is not worth it to me since my arms aren't that bad to begin with.  I guess we got lucky that way!

My butt is still swollen and tender, but it is improving.  I actually slept on my sides last night for most of the night and I hadn't been able to do that much since the swelling goes into my hips a bit sometimes.

I will admit that I've had moments of "I should have skipped the butt aug."  Not because it's been painful.  It's really not that painful.  It's because I'm 5.5 weeks post-op and I want to be normal again!  My stomach has been fine for weeks!  I do believe if I'd just had the LBL, I'd have bounced back a lot quicker.

Now, having said that, I'm sure that in several more weeks (when I am feeling more normal again) I'll be glad that I did it with my nice round booty!  I am able to keep it all in perspective!  :)

Now I have to decide whether or not to get implants with my breast lift (and I'm leaning towards yes right now, though that does change) and whether to bother with my inner thighs.  The inner thighs are kind of like my arms.....the LBL did help them out quite a bit, so I think I am okay without the inner thigh lift.  I'm not sure it's worth it, to me.  (My goal is not to be barbie.)  BUT, I have horrendously ugly knees due to some excess skin down there.  Okay, I will admit that perhaps others don't think they're horrendously ugly (we all know we're harder on ourselves), but they do bother me.

HI GUys, I feel very similarly about the scar Vs Improvement issue.
I scar horribly all the time so I am realy struggling with the decision on brachio....I am going to see a surgeon in London in september (had a consult in July but he had to cancel due to an emergency) and I am going to ask him about the mini arm lift too. I would have big raised red scars for many years on my arms so not sure if its worth it for me.

I am also going to be asking him about a breast augmentation, I just want the girls to be the perky small C they were before I lost 140lbs and definitely a tummy tuck (prob without muscle repair). I was kinda hoping he could do all 3 at once for me...I will be staying at my moms house post op and would have someone there to help me plus I dont have any kids to worry about and work from home in our family business so i guess I am kinda lucky.
Best of luck to you ...xx

You've seen my arms in person and know mine aren't that bad and even I've been told a mini arm lift wouldn't be appropriate/very aesthetically pleasing.
