LBL 10 days out
HAd lbl on June 20th.
I opted to stay in the hospital for 2 days which I'm glad I did cause hubby has severe back problems and helping out of bed those two days were impossible.
I got home on day three and opted to sleep in a twin size bed cause it was lower to the ground compare to my reg bed. It was hard getting up and down but I did it. I forced my self to walk to keep those nasty blood clots away. Today I went for my second post op appt and all the old dressing tape has been removed and I feel pretty good. I am tired alot and have alot of swelling dr told me to tighten the binder and not to remove, but over I have more soreness from the lipo to my hips than anything else. Oh and the 5 drain tubes are a PITA but what can I say, I have to deal with them....

I'm lucky that my mom has an adjustable bed so I've been very comfy at home. I was able to get in and out of bed by myself on day 3. Tomorrow I may try sitting in a recliner.

Hi Laura...
You are Lucky..!
I have a reclining lift chair that was my grans, and It works great for getting up and out (without surgery, yet) but the sleeping part is not doable right now...It may be different after surgery and I get some of the pain meds in me...With the pain meds, hopefuly, I want care if I'm in a chair or on top of the house...lol..!!
I'm very optimistic that all will go well and it won't be to complicated and uncomfortable once I get home...
Good Luck with the sitting-up..!!

I have to say that sleeping is okay- 1 pillow underneath my head and one under my legs. But I don't sleep a full night.. The stictches in my back are just so darn tight and laying on them is bothersome. So i get up around 4-5 and take a lovely pain pain.. frankly I don't know how anyone doing the lbl with butt aug can do it.....
