what were lessons learned after surgery that u learned to prepare for another PS procedure
Hi patti!
I am in pembroke pines! My ps is in ventura in miami. A dr. Amunitequi. My LBL is july 11th. This surgeon has done patients from my WL dr. And one of my "skinny" friends for other procedures. Now I am getting excited, with 10 days to go.
My WL surgeon also has a practisee on ft. Myers coast.

Exercise is not a LUXURY!
Exercise is a NECESSITY
Think about where you are going to sleep for the first few days. I set up a "station" in my living room. TV close by, a couple of books, a table for meds and food and an electric recliner. I happen to have one from my grandfather (I got it when he passed), but you can rent them too. A regular recliner would work, but you might need someone to pull the "arm" for the first few days to get you up and down.
I have a HIGH bed - I would have had a lot of trouble getting in and shifted around in there for the first few days.
Having arms done with a TT was great. The arms were such an easy surgery - it was a good blend with the more painful TT.
Also - what soemone else said about staying on top of pain meds - don't be a hero.
Drink LOTS of fluids. Have protein drinks on hand, because you won't have much appetite after. I found my weight dropped quickly and I needed to drink a couple shakes a day to keep things level.
