Did you have plastic surgery in the NY area?

I just returned from my plastic surgeon's office in Manhattan after a consultation on an arm lift.  I was quoted a price of $12,100. I knew it would be expensive, but that is too high for me. Has anyone had an arm lift in the NY area (NYC, Long Island, Jersey)? Can you tell me how much you spent and possibly give a recommendation. Thanks!

I had my breasts and arms done together with Dr. Brewer at long island plastic surgeons, they are in Garden City and Manhatten, I paid 4000.00 for my arms (reduced because of the 2 procedures and the breasts reduction was covered by insurance, but if I did the arms alone the quote was 6000 (these are MD fees, the hospital and anesthsia are an additional fee, I think about 2700 more) Dr Brewer is great, I am having a body lift with him in 2 weeks

Thank you! I'm going to look into having it done on LI. I'm originally from the island so I can recuperate at my parents' house if I need to. I want a lot done, but I wanted to start with my arms. Having it done on LI seems to be much more reasonable than Manhattan. Are you happy with what you had done and the scars on your arms? 

the scars are definately not the greatest, arms notoriously have scars that easily spread, for me my scars are much better than the bat wings I used to have, but of course it is on the most inconspecuious part of the arm so people don't notice it unless I lift my arms up and show them I think you need to approch all of these types of surgery with the idea that no matter the outcome it is better than your current status

I have seen some amazing work from Dr. Capella in North Jersey. Haven't used him myself, wish I had, considering what I've seen.
