Choosing among Dr. Agha, Dr. Katzen, and Dr. Lomonaco

Help! I am trying to decide which surgeon to go with for an LBL. Any insight you can share on these surgeons is greatly appreciated!

Have you consulted with any of them yourself?

When I was researching, Dr. Agha was much more expensive than the others. I also got messages and pms from other patients that led me away from him.......things like he's never done.....there's always some reason you need to come back in and get something else done or fixed.....I can't really remember the rest, but I remember crossing him off my list.

I liked Dr. Lo a lot, but there is another surgeon he has worked with (and written a book with) here in VA, so it made sense to me to see him instead since I'm in VA.

I don't know who Dr. Katzen is.

He did not, though I did have a consult with him in person.

Dr. Kaplan with Magee-Rosenblum Plastic Surgery in Norfolk, VA did my plastics. (I have pics in my profile if you want to look.)

Dr. Katzen in Los Angeles? He did my wife's LBL and thigh lift and we would have no problem recommending him - very competent and ethical - though I think that these procedures are best done locally if possible, due to the amount of aftercare and followup that is often necessary. We're glad that we kept it local and didn't go back to San Francisco to have her DS surgeon do the work, as capable as he is.

1st support group/seminar - 8/03 (has it been that long?)

not sure which Dr. Kasden you're referring to but I had my lbl done june 20th by Dr. Scott Kasden in Southlake tx.
So far so good. He's very attentive and the I have no complaints.
I live withiin 40 minutes of the dr and was glad to do it locally. I saw him the two das I decided to soend in the hospital and the the day after I was discharged.
I know money is a factor to some- it is to us, but I'm glad I can be in his office with 20 minutes if need be.
