How long did you wait

I went for my first consult at 25 months post op.  The PS refused to even schedule a consult until my weight had been stable for 6 months.  Then I had the surgery scheduled for 2 months after that, but for family reasons had to put it off for 6 extra months.  Just had my LBL done (finally) on June 14th.

TOTALLY worth it, Even with all the whining and complaining I have done on here in the last few days!

I was weight stable for 2 yrs before my PS.  I did start researching at about 28mo out from my DS.  I thought I could live with the extra skin, muffin top and droopy boobs.  Finally decided to fix my body.  I'm loving life and I'm 5.5 months out from LBL, BL, arms, medial thigh lift and a full facelift.

I had mine done at 19 months, but I had hit goal at 9.5 months, shot below it and had maintained my weight for a good 7-8 months.

Most surgeons are going to want you to have maintained a stable weight for at least 6 months.

I had WLS Oct 2007 ,at goal for more than a year
I see a counselor since a yr. after WLS and was not ready for more physical changes until recently.
I work out intensley and use a trainer 2 x a week, wanted to do all I could on my own before surrendering to more surgery, and ta da! I can't do much more for this body, its time to let the professionals do their magic!
