48 hours from my TT and BL! what to bring?

I am officially 48 hours from my surgery! So excited and nervous. I am going from the hospital to my Moms and staying for up to a week for recovery. My wonderful husband will be home with our 3 young sons. My question is what type of clothing should I pack? Was it easier just to stay in a night gown or sweatpants? Should I pack anything special for the night stay in the hospital?

I'm scheduled for exactly a week after you!  I am being done as an outpatient though.  I bought a wrap dress to wear home.  Since you don't have to put it on over your head or step into it and it is forgiving in fit, I figured it would adjust to accommodate the compression garments and swelling without putting any pressure on the body.

I didn't do sweat pants as it is so hot here....high 90s and low 100s.  I did get some shorty pajamas with tops that button the entire front length to wear the first few days at home.  Hope that helps some.  :)

Good luck!!  I personally found a gown to be the most comfortable for me.  It was easy to pull up when using the bathroom and I didn't have to worry about pulling anything up over the drains.  My surgery was outpatient do I don't know about the stay in the hospital.  I was in the binder for 2 weeks so other than a gowns I didn't need clothes.  I did wear a wife beater tee shirt under my binder to keep it from rubbing my skin and that helped a lot.

I have a new philosophy, I'm only going to dread one day at a time.  Charlie Brown

Very loose drawstring pants (I swiped DD's old work out pants), a button-down shirt, a long tank or cami to put under the binder... make sure it's one you don't love, because it WILL get all stained and ruined the first few days, slip on shoes or flip-flops so you don't need to bend over to get into your shoes.

I packed a couple of single serve protein packs and ordered skim milk from the hospital kitchen to get my shakes in as well.

Other than that, your phone and charger would be about it!
