How would you rate the care you received in the hospital?
I am evaluating different surgeons for Plastics and I have to say I need to find a hospital with amazing care. When I had my VSG done at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco I received absolute 5-star treatment there. (I even received a hand-written card with personalized notes from all of my attending nurses a week after I arrived home). Their treatment of me made all the difference in the world. Yesterday I had my gall bladder removed at the Cleveland Clinic and received horrible care...rude and pushy nurses, lack of response when I truly needed something, and inconsistent information from nurse to nurse.
How would you rate the hospital care you received after Plastics? Please share the name of the hospital and whether you recommend it or you don't. Thanks.

All of my plastic surgery procedures were done at Premiere Surgery Center in Concord, CA. The pre and post op care was beyond 5 stars. The staff there are all very friendly and professional. I also had 2 knee surgeries and my hysterectomy done there. Most of the staff know me by name now & after my last surgery 1 of the nurses said I reminded her of Norm from Cheers, I go where everyone knows my name
I had my LBL done at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI. The staff and hospital were top notch. Most if not all the hospitals in my area are wonderful and focus on care of the patients for a great experience. They have been building up a reputation for one of the places to go for medical treatment in the midwest. Most of the hospitals have done major upgrades and renovations to make the stays more comfortable and ease of care.
My Plastic Surgeon was Dr. Jain. I had my LBL at the Premier Surgical Center. It is here in Colorado Springs. They are technically an Outpatient facility but they are licensed to have patients stay up to 72 hours. They have 3 overnight rooms and 5 overnight beds. I spent 1 night and was the only one staying the night on that occasion. I had the private room, not sure if it was planned or just a coincidence that I was in the only room with just 1 bed in it.
Both the day shift and night shift Nurse and CNA were very personal and made me feel like they cared. The Nurse and the CNA were both right there every time I needed something, no matter which shift it was.. They were very attentive to my needs (could be because they were bored) They called me by name, which made me feel like they knew I was a person not just a chart. No matter if they were just taking vitals or if they were stripping my drains, they took the time to explain what they were doing, what they were giving me in my IV, etc. The night shift nurse and CNA were willing to take me for a walk down the hall at 1 am when I could not sleep, and brought me water and snacks at 2 am when I was finally hungry. When I could not sleep at 3 am, the CNA (Her name was Autumn) was willing to sit and talk to me for a while.
I would definitely recommend them.
