So, it appears I've got a minor one on my left side.  I noticed the skin on that side was kind of "waterbedish" and so my PS drained it.  Then it came back, so he inserted a drain there.  (That was NOT fun as he couldn't get it to go where he wanted at first.)  We left that in for a week and took it out on Friday.  Well, my skin is waterbedish again there......  *sigh*  So, I'm bummed.  He's out of town, but did say that if I needed to come in his office has been told that I might need that side drained.  I REALLY don't want to have to get another drain inserted.

Oh, I'm 3.5 weeks post-op.  Anyone else have a similar issue?  How did it resolve?

Thanks!

I wear my binder all the time except when I take a shower.

I'm not wanting to get the drain re-inserted AGAIN, but if I have to, then I have to.......... *sigh*

i had extended TT on september and developed chronic seroma.
I am coming once a month to my PS office and he drained 70 cc every time.
He told me that he will do something when I will have small revision to open this seroma inside and drain it,
sorry, I know it is not big help.
I hope yours will stop to drain soon.but I did not want another drain, I prefer needle.

UPDATE 6/23

So I went to the surgeon today (not mine as he's out of town) and had the seroma aspirated.  They got 60cc, so not that bad.  I'm wearing my binder (which I was already), but I've stuffed a hand towel down in there to put even more pressure on that area.

I was also told to "take it easy," but I'm home alone with the 4 kids the rest of the week, so........  I'll be taking it as easy as I can!  At least they're (usually) good kids and I don't really have to do too much physical stuff to take care of them besides making a quick meal.

Hopefully this takes care of it, or at least if it does come back, it's even less and I'm on the track towards it resolving.

Send me some healing vibes!  Thanks!

Oh, the surgeon I saw today....his first name is Jesus.  Obviously it's pronounced via the hispanic version hey-suess, but I told my husband that I was seeing Jesus (as in the bible) today and if anyone could heal me Jesus could!  ;)
