Thank you to those of you who have posted before me for giving me the courage to post my own plastics pictures. I found looking at others so helpful in my own preparation for plastics, so I really want to share mine here.
They're on my profile now. I'll leave them open, at least for awhile.
Some background:
I had the DS in November 2009 and lost a total of 140 lbs before plastics. I had my plastics at 18 months post op with Dr Joseph Capella at Hackensack University Medical Center in NJ. He removed about 8 lbs of skin. I started in a size 8/10, I'm now firnly in an 8 and can squeeze into 6's, too. Dr Capella said I'm still swollen and he thinks I'll definitely go down another inch or two over the next month.
Recovery from plastics was much easier than I had thought. Well, at least after I got through the first few days :)
Let me know what you think, and if you have any questions.
The lap scars on my tummy are from my WLS which never faded. I think I'll try some silicone sheeting on them now that they interfere with my fully appreciating my new belly button!

Dang girl! Looking good! Are you getting around better? I'm doing better but haven't been brave enough to do pictures yet! Hopefully I will soon!
