How much does it cost

Since I am FINALLY on my last 80 lbs, I have decided to do some preliminary research into plastic surgery. Can someone give me a ball park estimate how much it costs without any insurance coverage. I am thinking of having a lower body lift, thigh lift, arm lift, and breast lift. I live in the Los Angeles area.

I had Fleur De Leis Tummy Tuck and Brachioplasty.  Had to be done in acute care hospital with overnight stay (because of my asthma and irreg heart rate.)  Total was $14,000 for surgeon, anesthesia, surgery suite & overnight hospital stay.

My surgeon required a wt loss of 100# to be maintained for one year, be at goal weight and wouldn't keep anyone under general anesthesia longer than 6 hours.

So many differences between surgeons.

That sounds actually very reasonable. My guess is that it is a little bit more expensive here in la la land. I have been doing some research and I really like what people have to say about Dr. Siamak Agha in Newport Beach and Dr. Timothy Katzen in Beverly Hills.

I am scheduled for a LBL on June 21.  My total charges are a little over $13,000 whi*****ludes the office visits, surgery (4 hours) and two nights in the hospital.  I am self-pay.  There were a few additional charges for tests from my primary care doctor as I am over the age of 50 (EKG, lab work) but my insurance took care of most of those charges.

You are smart starting to research early and really get a feel for what's out there.  I interviewed several different plastic surgeons and chose the one I felt had the best qualifications, etc.

I am having tummy tuck with vertical incision and breast lift with augmentation and the bill will be right around $24,000. I live in Michigan.

I had an LBL, BL, arms and medial upper thigh lift and 4 days later a full facelift for under $20k in Monterrey Mexico with Dr Sauceda.  That also included 7 days in the clinic with 24/7 care and 7 days at the Hampton Inn, plus two sets of garments.  Dr S comes by daily when you are at the hotel, and his nurse comes by daily to help you shower and redo the gauze and gets you back into your garment, not an easy task when swollen, to be stuffed back like a sausage.  

Dr S also required labwork and an EKG which Kaiser did.  My PCP was on board for problems when I returned, all I needed was some stitches removed at 3 weeks out.  Textbook recovery.
