I <3 My New Boobies

Ok, I don't think I even realized how much it meant to me until I looked down in the middle of my shower this morning (thanks Nurse Cruz!) and saw that my breasts didn't sag to my navel.  They are round, firm, perky, NORMAL-looking boobs!  I feel like a woman.  Weird, right?  My HH or F breasts didn't help me feel like a girl, but these C-cups are the best thing that's ever happened to me!

My surgery was yesterday, and I ended up getting a teensy bit of liposuction of the back and a little auto-augmentation to the buttocks, which the jury is out on.  At the moment, I look like I never even had WLS, my lower half is so swollen (and painful).  We chose not to do abdominal liposuction because the doctor felt I would benefit from laser liposculpture to help with the skin if I decide I want lipo in the future (but I'm leaning towards just continuing my exercise regime and doing some extra crunches!).  He spent a lot of time drawing on me, and said that my breast surgery was the most complicated he's ever done!  He really had to work hard to keep as much volume as possible, but there was so much skin to remove that it took hours longer than anyone expected!  They gave me a spinal block and used Twilight anesthesia.  I actually woke up twice during surgery (once on my stomach, and once when my right nipple was getting sewed on) but it was a split second, not even long enough to register where I was or what was going on.  When I woke up after surgery, I looked to the side and there was a jar of my fat.  Yum.

The best part of the surgery is that I was so worried about my reaction to anesthesia, which is always terrible, but since it was twilight, there was no intubation, and no nausea or anything!  Of course, I had to wait for the nerve blockade to wear off so that I could move into the other hospital bed, but that was no big deal.  I vomited for five days after my sleeve!  This is nothing compared to that!  So this is what it's like working with a real surgeon!  My surgery ended so late that I spent the night at the hospital, which will cost me about $120 (worth it just for the hospital bed!).  Getting the spinal tube pulled out was incredibly gross-feeling, but I have no other drains, and the pain is totally manageable.

I haven't even had any pain medication, and should be okay until bedtime.  I have no idea how I'm going to sleep!  Kind of worried about that.  I have a week of antibiotics, a pill for inflammation, and one for pain (another $79).  Way cheaper than here!

My doctor is quite young (maybe in his thirties) and he is HOT HOT HOT!  If he hadn't had his hands in my butt-fat, I would totally tap that!  He is adorable, and so sweet!  He really took his time to explain things to me and to my friend who was really curious about surgery.  She'll be having her own soon (we hope).  And he really did go above and beyond to make my breasts look great, symmetrical and round without implants.  I'm very happy with him.  I didn't love the hospital, but it was clean and modern, just not what I'm used to (no call-light, didn't get checked on for a long time even though I couldn't move, etc).

The doctor is great, but totally scatterbrained.  Here's the kicker: I got to Mexico, had my labs drawn, EKG, consultation, surgery, stayed overnight, got my prescription written, got my compression garments, and lit out of there.... and I still haven't paid!  I'll pay at the "follow-up appointment" Monday or Tuesday.  Talk about trusting!  He also accepts personal checks as payment!  Have you ever heard anything like that?!

Ugh, I spoke too soon earlier.  The pain got bad, and my blood pressure and blood sugar dumped.  I puked and all but passed out, but I managed to sleep for a while after and am feeling better now.  Will take an Ativan soon to help me.

Fawn, that's wonderful!  I'm so excited for you!

I got the thighs this time around instead of the boobs!  I can't wait for the boobs!  Enjoy those girls!  You deserve them!

My doctor is the same, money is not his priority!  He's very trusting!  It's really different, huh?

Yes, it's different!  I think he just loves his job that much!  I pay him Tuesday.... unless I decide to hop the border with my new body!  Tee hee!

I have wanted/needed this breast-lift since I was a child.  I had no idea how much it would mean to me now that it's actually happening.  I just can't believe I'm a firm, perky C (I think)!

Dee,
I was laughing as I read your post about Dr. Sauceda and him being so trusting. When I was down there, he came in to see me the last time before I went home. He had an envelope with cash in it as well as a small boxed trinket for Patti. He asked me if he could leave them with me and if I would make sure that Patti received them. Of course I didnt mind, but its a totally different world down there. They are very good people !  Something like that would NEVER happen in the US.

How are you feeling today? Has your thigh swelling diminished any? I will say my prayers for a speedy recovery for you.  :)

I know, Marianne, they are good people.  I can't say enough good about Dr Sauceda and Patti!   They are so trusting and just there to help us feel better about ourselves.  Robin  was trying to talk him into doing her thighs.  She has gorgeous legs and he says that she doesn't need it.  I agreed with him and then we all realized that IF he was really into this for money, he would just do it at her insistence.  It's clear he wants us to have the best outcome, even if it means he does nothing.

My thigh swelling is a little better.  Not much, but I was able to pull my left leg drain this morning, it was down to 31mls this morning, yesterday was 38.  I'm happy I only have one drain left!  Thanks for your prayers.  I was able to make it with only one pain med yesterday!
