Follow up on Pre-Op Testing

I'm 13 days away from my LBL and found out today that my primary care doctor did not send any of my pre-op test results to my PS, nor did he write the required letter that cleared me for surgery.   Ugh!

So, after a phone call to his office I finally got someone to take care of this and fax it to my PS.  I figured that when I originally was there and requested this (the whole reason for my tests to begin with) that it would be taken care of - ha!

Just wanted to share this with everyone so that they don't get caught having their surgery cancelled/rescheduled due to missing documentation.

These next 13 days are going to fly by!!!

I agree!  It's super important to follow up on things and not just assume that all the paperwork has been sent or received or processed.

I actually do it myself whenever I can.  Then I know it was done!

Tessie - I would have loved to hand deliver this information to the ps office but unfortunately it had to come directly from my primary care doctor.  I guess for legal/insurance type reasons.  I have such a short window to have my surgery and recover that had it been cancelled it would have been another year before I would have the time off to recover.
