Researching Plastic Surgeons...Willing to Travel...

Hard to believe I am 10 months out from surgery! My PCP wants me to find and consult a plastic surgeon to get the ball rolling on some skin removal. I'll need a lot of it. I guess that's what can happen when you used to weigh over 400lbs!

My insurance is Blue Cross Blue Shield of CA PPO. They seem to be pretty good at covering anything medically necessary.

I'll want my tummy, arms, boobs, and thighs done. I guess top priority would be tummy and arms...  coming in at a close 2nd is my thighs and boobs.

I have hidradenitis suprativa, tons of documented evidence of boils, sores, rashes, etc. in all skin folds..

I live in the Milwaukee Area of Wisconsin but I'm willing to travel (somewhat reasonable) as long as the surgeon and hospital is in-network.

I want a surgeon that has A LOT of experience with PS for the formerly SMO.

Anyone have any suggestions for me?  Or any experience with BCBS of CA PPO?

Google the guys in my signature line - Dr. Gutowski is no longer there (although rumor has it he's back in Madison WI, so might be available to you), and Dr. Howard is still in Evanston.

Dr Moore in Athens Ga is a wonder. He did a breast reduction on me about 14 years ago and will be doing a tummy tuck next week. I know it's quite a distance for you, but he is AWESOME.
