What $ amount should I expect insurance to cover?

First off, I have already been approved (after an appeal) for a Panniculectomy by my Insurance company.  The original PS that submitted the work only gave me a self-pay price for the LBL and BL.  They say they can't give me an estimate of what the insurance will cover until afterwards - but I need to know before-hand so I can make sure I have enough money put aside.

Those of you out there who had a Panniculectomy that was covered by your ins, but still had the full LBL done - do you know what the difference was in the pricing? 

The office said it wasn't going to be 'that' much difference because only the surgeon’s fee would be deducted, because I was already going to be in the operating room for something else.  (Which doesn’t sound right to me?)

This PS was (about) $14k for the LBL and $7k for the BL, so about $22k total.

I paid $12,760 for my LBL up front before getting insurance approval.  (This was a reduced rate as I'm scheduling other procedures with the same surgeon for the future.)  I got insurance approval after I paid, so they had to rerun the numbers for me.  The hospital bills differently for a cosmetice (no insurance approval) vs. a medical procedure.  I was told that I should get $3200 back after my insurance pays.

I know I have seen other numbers out there, but just don't have the time to do a search and then dig though all the randomness (search on hre isn't very useful).

I just thought I could get more than one example.
