Any luck having Kaiser cover panni surgery??

Hi,  I live in California and Have Kaiser insurance.  I have lost 125 pounds and have 70 to go.  i am 10 months out from RNY.  I am interested in having the skin removal surgery.  I believe i have 20 to 30 pounds of skin hanging.  what do i have to say or do to get kaiser to cover my surgery.  i have an appointment in 2 weeks with my primary provider and am hoping for a referrel to plastics.  Any advice would be helpful.  Thank you

I don't have any answers for you, but I'm curious at what point one should have the panni surgery? I have quite a panni but it's not just loose skin.. it's filled with fat too. Do they cut out the fat too or lipo it?

Your photos are wonderful.. thanks for sharing them.  Your results are amazing especially your facelift.. you look at least 10 years younger after that facelift.  One thing though is that you look like you are a normal size with just the panni left and it looks like you got a TT and not a panni or am I confused? 

I still have a good 60 pounds to lose and a good amount of fat in my panni.. probably more than you.  I'm wondering if I should get the panni removed since it's covered by insurance, then later get a TT if needed or lose more.  I'm currently around a size 18.

I carry most of my weight in my stomach and it's driving me nuts.  Also a lot of what I read said you have to have a stable weight for a year for the panni but I'm still in the weight loss phase. My panni drives me nuts though.

I go to Kaiser in Honolulu.  I had a TT that was covered because I had a record of rashes and deteriorating skin in that area. Also in Honolulu at Kaiser we have a program called New Venture where you can pay for your plastic surgery at Kaiser.  I can tell you it was half the price of the other surgeons I went to see.  I've had an my arms, thighs, and breasts lifted, a TT, and a few months ago had a full face lift, lower eye and neck lift - all at Kaiser and I'm very happy with the results.  Good luck.
