anthem ppo and brachioplasty
I was wondering if anyone has had success getting Anthem PPO to cover their brachioplasty. I'm new to plastic surgery but this will be my second summer since weightloss and I just can't face another season of misery with giant bat wings in the heat.
Does success hinge on getting a plastic surgeon who writes good letters? If so, can anyone recommend one around southern california who is both good and aggressive with the insurance companies?
How many times did you have to document skin problems and over what length of time?
I'm just feeling really hopeless because I know I can't pay for the surgery out of pocket and I'm wondering what the battle ahead is going to look like.

Arms are relatively inexpensive to have done. Mine were $3900 total. Try a residency program near you. Do you have good credit? Find a surgeon who takes Carecredit. It's a no interest loan that can be paid off over 18 months, so about $220/month. In all my time here on OH I've only heard of 2 or 3 people who have had their arms covered by insurance.
