Inner thigh lift alone

Any help here would be SO useful!!  How soon can you drive after this procedure, assuming you're not on any pain meds?  And what's it mean when some posts say you have to keep your legs together???  How soon can you go back to work (physical labor involved).  Thanks.

Hi Rebecca,

I had inner thigh lift as well as bilateral hip lift done on February 9th.   It was planned to be off work (office work) 6 weeks but doctor had me return to work after 4 weeks.    They will tell you that you can drive when you are not on pain meds.  I did not drive until after two weeks.  You won't really feel like it anyways :)

I have never seen any of the posts about keeping the legs together....but you won't want to have them spread out either.

Be sure to wear your compression garment 24/7 until the doctor tells you not to.  Rub the vitamin E oil and massage your scars twice a day religiously.

Feel free to ask any questions you have.

Thanks for such a quick response!  Did you have drains?  If so, how long were they in?

Yes I had four drains (2 for the thighs and 2 for the hips)...they came out at my one week checkup..

When is your surgery?

I'm waiting for the email quote at which time I will beg for a surgery date before the end of June.  I've been off since 5/2 for the lower body lift and was scheduled to go back to work 7/5, but I'm trying to avoid going through a leave of absence next year and am hoping to just tag this on and be done with my make over.  That's why I've been online so continuously!  I rarely get back to this site.  I should though, it's quite helpful.

I had a thigh lift and breast done at the same time. I was only off work for 10 days and think I drove at maybe 7. Driving wasn't a problem for me but getting into and out of the car was but I have an SUV that is kinda high off the ground and I'm short. I was back to normal daily living and going to clubs at 3 weeks out. My surgeon didn't allow me to work out until after 6 weeks.

May I ask what type of work you do?  I'm in the medical field and lifting, pushing, pulling is all expected w/o restriction.

I have a desk job. Walking was still difficult at 10 days out. Lifting, Pushing & pulling probably would have been difficult at that point. At 3 weeks I was doing ok but my thighs were still a little tender and tended to swell by the end of the day but probably could have done some pushing & pulling but still have to be careful as there were some open spots at the top where all the incisions came together.

I'm a month out today but had LBL w/ab work & hernia repair.  Just now really feeling better, thighs are still very sore tho.  I drove @ 9 days, home from Houston on day 11 after Doctor removed drains.  Riding or driving didn't really bother me as much as gettting in & out of the car...that's hard.  I went back to work in 2 weeks but have a desk job w/no lifting.
