Recovery - Arm Lift

I'm going to be in a wedding Labor day weekend and I'm planning to get an arm lift and maybe a breast lift.  I really want my arms to be looking ok (meaning not gross from swelling/stiches etc) before the wedding.  Currently, I'm on the schedule for June 21st, but I may need to reschedule my surgery to late July or early August.  Will that be enough time or should I try to have it done in June? My biggest concern is having my arms done.  The breast lift is not as big of a to do for me at this point.

Thank you!!!

If at all possible I'd try to have it done in June. Just gives you the most time to recover. Everyone is different but I never had bad scars on my arms and @ 6 week was totally fine. Even before that the scars looked good. I still had swelling up to probably 6 weeks and wore compression garments until then. If you wore the compression garments up until you had to get dressed for the wedding you would be fine. Others scars were more red & possibly raised so even the June date would be iffy for them. No way to really tell other than look at your scars from your other surgeries and see what they look like and try to remember what they looked like early on.

You made a great point.  I better go ahead and get it done in June.  I got fitted for the dress yesterday and it looks great on me.  All I need is the arms to be in shape.

How long did you take off of work?  I'm a HR Manager so I don't have a physical job and I have the abliity to work from home.  I'm thinking I will need a few days doing nothing but rest then I could work from home for another week or so.  Any thoughts?

I had an LBL done along w/ my arms so I was off for 4 weeks. I probably could have gone back to work w/ just having the arms done in week to 10 days as long as you don't have to reach or lift heavy things. You'd probably be fine but not sure how much work you'd get done after just a few days because your fingers do swell like sausages for the first few days. Probably a week completely off would be best then work from home for a week, JMO

I had an arm lift, breast lift and augmentation a week ago tomorrow.  I will be going back to work on Monday.. but am thinking that may be a bit soon.  Mostly because I am still so exhausted and need a nap mid day.

My arms are pretty black and blue still and will be for a while.  Will be posting photos tomorrow - visible to my friends if you are interested in seeing.

Dr. Benn gave me an incredible tool.. and I intend to make the most out of it!!
