Is 10 days enough recovery time after TT and BL/BA
So I'm planning of having my plastics in a school vacation in October. I have a week off and would have the proceedures on a Friday afternoon. I'm planning to return to work 10 days later. Is this feasable?
I will be having a tummy tuck and breast lift/aug.
I am a librarian and I have an assistant so can avold lifting/carrying if need be.

Probably not.
You probably won't be able to drive yourself for six weeks or more.

I do think 10 days is pushing it some. I know someone who went back to a desk job two weeks after a lbl, and she said she was exhausted beyond words for a couple of weeks. I am a teacher, had it done at the beginning of summer, and so was able to enjoy five weeks at home.
I was cleared for driving as soon as I was off the narcotic pain killers, but my dr. also said to limit my car trips to one a day because getting in and out of the car can pull on your sutures too much when you are freshly preop.
What does your dr. say?

I agree with the posts above. 10 days may not be enough. I only had a TT and I needed more time than that to heal. At 10 days out, you might still be on pain meds and you could still have drains. I couldn't drive for about 8-9 days because it was hard having to sit up so straight and be alert. My energy was very low for about 5-6 weeks. Everyone is different though. Good luck

I am scheduled for a LBL on June 21. During the summer I only work 1 job that is approximately 10 hours total - divided into 2 hr shifts. I have already scheduled being off 2 full weeks but will probably take the following week off also, if not more. I've planned in advance with a lot of cardio and strength training to get my muscles in the best shape possible. I've read on these boards that if you are having multiple procedures breast and tummy that the recovery time is a little bit harder. Good luck!
I just had my pre-op appointment yesterday for my LBL and he said it would be at least 3 weeks before all my drains were out, that I could not drive as long as I had drains or was taking pain killers, and That I should not plan on going to work for at least 3 weeks. I teach 3 year old preschool--no lifting, required.
He also warned me that If i tried to pu**** and return to work to soon, i could have my stiches pop open, slowing my healing down, possibly even requiring more surgery to get restitched depending on how many pop open.
I would think that 10 days is just not enough time.

I had surgery on a Thursday (BL/BA & Tummy Tuck) and worked from home that following week a few hours per day and then returned the next Monday with drains to desk job. So I had a total of 11 days if you count the day of surgery. I was able to prop my feet up during the day at work. I was tired when I got home each evening for the first couple of weeks, but I think its doable if you have a job where you are not lifting or constantly walking. Everyone had a different pain tolerance. I still took pain meds at night to sleep well. The only bad thing about being too active is that you tend to keep your drains longer. Just my two cents. . .I wish you the best of luck!!!
