I am only spending one night so I am not going to bring anything except my medications.  I plan on wearing one of my new dresses to the surgical center, it is already loose and will be easy to slip over my head when it is time to go.  I will also bring my cotten exercise shorts in case I need to attach the drains to something, althoughThey will probably be attached to my compression garment.

how many nights are you staying?  that will help determin how much stuff you need to bring with you.

Not sure. The PS said overnight, while my regular surgeon who did my sleeve and is doing my hernia repair said 1-2 ... And my insurance approved 4.
Guess it depends on how I feel!

14 pounds lost before surgery. My first ticker is when I hit onderland: this was my goal when I started on this journey.  I want to focus on that right now...once I get there I can reevaluate.

My second ticker is my dream goal. Even if I only visit there for a short time, it would be nice to see that number just once.  I am pretty sure I'll need plastics to hit this goal.

Take some sturdy slip on shoes.  Don't forget your cell phone charger.  I like to add one Crystal Lite stick to the big mugs of ice water.  Ask someone to bring your favorite brew on schedule if you are a coffee buff like I am.  Bring a framed photo of your kids or dogs, etc.  It is a good ice breaker with the hospital staff.  Leave your rings at home.  Bring your sense of humor.  :)  I bought a couple zip front short robes for my recovery. Happy healing.  Loris
