What to bring...

So my panni removal is on June 9th. Any idea of what I should bring to the hospital. Really worried about how I hear people can't fit into their clothes due to the swelling. Going to bring a pillow to help get up and down.

More nervous about the shock of how different it will look...having had this hanging crap for 20 years.  At least the pain will be handled by lots and lots of drugs!!

14 pounds lost before surgery. My first ticker is when I hit onderland: this was my goal when I started on this journey.  I want to focus on that right now...once I get there I can reevaluate.

My second ticker is my dream goal. Even if I only visit there for a short time, it would be nice to see that number just once.  I am pretty sure I'll need plastics to hit this goal.

Hey surgery sister, we had almost the same wls date.    I took loose clothing in case I swelled, but he took so much off, the clothes fit loose.  Smile, it's so nice not to have that skin anymore.

We are all individual in recovery times.  Yours may not be the same as mine.

I brought comfy clothes mainly moomoo type dressed (think Mrs. Roper) ones that open in the front with pockets for drains...or draw string to big pants (I saved a pair).  Chapstick...if you don't like plain water, then something to add to water.

NOW I had books and **** I personally was in to much discomfort to do anything but stare at the TV.

On a scale of 1-10 how bad was the pain?

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery!  I posted this same question (I'm having a LBL on June 21) and here's a list that I've compiled - hope it helps!
Regular type things that you would take on a trip (toothbrush, paste, contacts/glasses, brush/comb, socks, slippers, magazines, chapstick).  I found a great pair of very thin pj/yoga type capri pants at Walmart so I picked a few of those up.  At my pre-op I'm going to ask them what they recommend gown vs. drawstring shorts.  I know I'll have six drains afterwards.  Also, of course, I will have my Driver's License and Insurance Card (even though my insurance isn't covering surgery) since my surgery is at a hospital.

I plan on bringing clothing that I will be able to put on easily for my car ride home.  I'm thinking big and baggy!!
