Combining procedures?

How many procedures can be done at once? (usually) Which ones can be combined?
Do they usually lower the price a bit if you are getting multiple things done at once?
I wanted to get my Arms, Breasts and Stomach fixed, do could I get these done at the same time? Anyone get these done together in mexico? Rough price?
If anybody could answer any of my questions I would be so grateful :)
I know That was a lot of them.....

It all depends on your Dr. and what he is comfortable w/ in combining. My surgeon wouldn't do my breast lift w/ my LBL because both procedures were rather involved & I would be under anesthesia too long. So he did my LBL & brachio together. Then my BL/BA and MTL together. The cost savings in combining procedures is you're only paying for the hospital/OR and anesthesia once (or twice in my case). I do believe that Dr. S does many procedures together possibly because he uses sedation/twilight anesthesia.

At my surgeon's recomendation, mine will be split up. Anchor cut TT alone to be done Aug 8th. Breasts and arms hopefully during Christmas break.

I have a very large amt of stuff to come off my belly. He felt it best to break them up since I will be under for quite a while. Plus, I will need my arms to move myself around!

(Can't help with pricing as my insurance is covering all.)

still recovering from LBL/thigh lift/butt aug/hernia repair two & a half weeks ago.  Surgeons wanted to divide into 2 surgeries, certainly proud I did that!  I can't imagine recovering from more than what I just put my body thru!  Will be having arms & breast done in August.  Combining procedures does help w/costs.  Good luck!

if the doctor uses twilight/epidural then you could have more work done...but with g/a it's too dangerous.

My surgeons worked as a team - 2 surgeons, and 3 or 4 assistants. So they were able to do lower body lift, anchor tummy tuck, breast lift and reduction, and brachioplasty all at one time with 5 hours of anesthesia.

They recommended doing it in that cluster, and holding the thighs for a separate surgery because of healing.

I had an LBL, BL, arms & sm upper thigh lift, then 4 days later a full face lift with Dr Sauceda in Monterrey Mexico.  I was 58 when I this done in Jan.  I'm 4.5 months out and couldn't be happier with my results and it's done and over.  I took off 8 weeks from work and some days are still tough, but I'm also dancing 3x/week.  You can click on Dr Sauceda in my siggy line to get to his group here on OH.  Under 20K for everything.

Here's how my PS split up my procedures:
5/13 - Tummy tuck (anchor cut), breast ilft, and gallbladder removed
Future - Thigh / butt lift
Future - Arms and Face

In addition to the length of time under anesthesia, he pointed out that any person is not doing the level of work at 6 hours in that they were when the first started (meaning, they get tired too!).

Also, while he WOULD do certain things together, he said there were certain things that one could slightly compromise the results of the other.  For example, during a tummy tuck, they sit you up to get the skin as tight as possible.  If they are doing a butt lift at the same time, they are pulling the opposite way, so both may not be quite as good as if you'd done them alone at different times.  Same thing for breast lift / augmentation - His preference is to do the lift first and wait for the results before he does the augmenation but he does them together all the time too.

Good luck in your journey!!!
