Laura - I'm in the same boat!  When I started my countdown it was over 98 days and now I'm down to 33.  So I keep reading everyone's updates and advice!  I really appreciate everyone sharing what's working post-op.

I think a LBL is a little more difficult to recover from than a face lift. That's what I have heard.

We will cheer you on when the time comes!

I so know what you mean.  When I was waiting for my plastics i read every post I could about what others had gone through.

I had my LBL, BA/BL, and arms done two weeks ago today, on May 5th.

I had my two week check up a few days ago, and am doing fine.  The last of my drains were removed, so I'm feeling more normal.

My surgeon removed almost 9 pounds of excess skin.  I came home at the same exact weight, but I'm down about 5 pounds now, and still very swollen.

I've seen a change in my measurements, and am waiting for my waist to go down, it's bigger than preop right now due to swelling.

So far:
Hips:  From 39 to 37
Waist from 30 to 34 (mostly swelling)
Chest: Still 38, even with 400cc implants.  But he did remove "side boobage" with the arm lift, so it looks much better.
Arms: From 14 to 10 inches
Thighs: From 23 to 20 inches

I'm having a little issue with a spot in my underarm that separated.  My surgeon said it's a common complication and I've been packing it with gauze.  Other than that, I've been off of pain meds for almost a week.  I've been taking a Tylenol PM to sleep, not because of "pain", but because I'm uncomfortable at times and it's just enough to take the edge off and let me get a full night's sleep without tossing and turning.

I can't wear any of my preop pants yet because of swelling.  My surgeon said swelling peaks around the 2nd week so I'm hoping it goes down from here.

The pain from all this was not as bad as I had feared.  The first few days were rough, but manageable.  The hardest part was having so much done at once that it was hard to get comfortable in any position - but in retrospect I'm glad I had one recovery and just got it all over with at once.

So, this post was a bit of rambling, but I tried to cover what  I was most curious about while following others.  Let me know if there is anything else I can answer for you, and good luck with everything!!

Checking in 6 weeks out from my anchor TT with muscle tightening.  Doing very well.  8.5 pounds skin removed - down 10 pounds from pre surgery weight.  I am a little swollen, but all of my pants and skirts are way too big since the big belly was removed.  I have been using safety pins and wearing belts but they still bunch up and slide down on my hips - and now I have hips and a waist!!!  I have had fluid drawn off at each of my post op visits so that concerns me a little - I go back on Wednesday so we will see.  The two main reasons I had the surgery - lower back pain and removing all the extra skin - were reconciled - NO MORE lower back pain and I can see my feet and when I sit down my belly does not spill over my thighs!!!  Just to be pain free in my back was worth it all!!!

Good luck to all of you!!
