Drains / clothing question

I have two drains coming out in my female hair line / very low abdomen.  So far I cannot figure out how to put on any clothing other than a dress or gown.  There are stitches at the exit sites and if I accidentally pull on the tube, it's very sensitive.

Does anyone have any tips on how to wear some underwear???   Or should I just give up and feel the breeze until they are out?

Thanks!

Sorry, I'm embarrassed to say I just went without & wore a "mexican dress".  Could not put on panties.  I just got out a few times tho so it wasn't bad until the time when the drains all came out!  SO much better after that!  Just hang in there!

Laina - that is an excellent question!  I'm scheduled for a LBL on June 21 and have wondered the same thing!

I've been told I will have up to 6 drains and no compression garment.  So, what to wear and what to pin them to is a big question for me.

Personally I went comando until I just had 1 drain in my right thigh left. Too difficult to try to get undies on before that. It can be done but it takes a lot of work and then remembering they are there when pulling them down to use the bathroom. No one beside you will really know that you're going w/o.

Thanks everyone.  I was hoping I was missing something.  I have a binder and pin my drains to that.  It's all manageable but I have to get out tomorrow to go to the doctor and I was hoping to figure out a way, lol.

Thanks!

I wore underwear and sweat pants and opinned my drains to the pants waist - the onlt way i was comfy - my drains were in the same spot I would just carefully pully the undies over the spot where the drains came out...

The most comfortable thing for me to do was wear men's knit boxers.  I just threaded the drains over the top of the waistband.  I wore an old bathrobe belt around my neck like a tie, and pinned the drains to that.  It wasn't pretty, but it worked.

I stayed in my compression garments (1 had a hook and eye crotch and 1 had a  velcro crotch) and a gown until I went to the doctor to have them removed - and that day I wore a bra, the compression garment and a dress.

I wore my underwear on the OUTSIDE of my compression garment.  Worked well for me.

I made a cotton band that I wrapped around me and pinned my drains to.

Be careful with pulling on them.. mine started bleeding after awhile when that happened.
