PS question for the ladies (Mastopexy)

Has anyone had a mastopexy (breast lift) prior to losing all of your weight?  I've lost about 90lbs and still have about 80 lbs to lose, but I have ALWAYS needed a breast lift (even in my early 20s)!

Anyone have any guidance or information about whether a breast lift could be done now?

Also, I don't want to get it done and then find that it gets messed up somehow when as I finish losing my weight.

Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I wouldn't if it were me.  I lost so much more from "boobage" in 2nd year post op.  I'm afraid it would be costly to enjoy your new bust for a short time - only to find it going "south" again.

I guess if you can afford to do it twice - but then the PS might not have the tissue needed to do an optimum job.

Get more than one consult from a PS.  Some are willing to do anything (even if unwise) to get the money.

Best wishes.

I would definitely wait until I was finished losing. I have a good friend that had a breast lift and then lost another 40 pounds and had to have it redone.

Thanks everyone!

I knew the answer would be that I needed to wait until I was finished losing and I was maintaining my weight,...but sometimes you just really hope you're wrong because its the thing that you really want right NOW.   :-)

Wait until you are done losing you will be much happier. I was below goal when I had mine and then proceeded to lose another 10 pounds now I wish I had waited I feel my boobs could be lifted a tiny more and the tummy even tighter but oh well it is done now and I am still extremely happy with the results but if I could give anyone advice wait until you are all done losing it is worth the wait.

Best wishes to you

Cheers
