Question for those who had LBL with butt lift
How did you get comfortable? How did you sleep?
I hear that recliners are good for post LBL peeps, but my PS advises not using the recliner because it can position you so that all the pressure is on the part of the butt that he's augmented. He recommended trying to sleep on my side or stomach! Is that possible? What did you do?
(He says sitting and putting pressure on it should not cause damage, but it would be best to avoid a lot of direct pressure on the specific area where the moved tissue has been placed for a bit.)
Oh, and I'm getting the LBL with a brazillian butt lift using my own excess for "fluffing" the buns.

Hi there! I don't have an answer butt* (lol) who will your surgeon be? I'm interested in using my own excess for "Fluffing" also and a LBL and maybe a new set of breasts(who knows, maybe all I need is a lift...I doubt it though).
I'm in the research stage and I'm ready for this next step.
THanks

Hi Tessy
As you know, I didnt have butt augmentation with my LBL, but I think I could have slept on my side if I didnt have my arms and boobs done at the same time. The biggest issue you will have is the "tightness" and inability to have your body straight at first. That goes for standing up, as you know, but it's also the same lying down. But I do think while lying down you could prop yourself with pillows to stay on your side as long as your keep your knees bent up a bit, like a semi fetal position.
The more you bend your knees the more you feel "pulling" at the incision in your back, so it's all about finding the balance position that doesnt stress your front incision or your back incision, but you will figure it out. And, it's only temporary - I found after the first few days to a week out I had a lot more flexibility and comfort.

The muscle tightening hurts more than the actual incisions. The incisions were painful if I stretched in the wrong position too far, for maybe a day or two - but the muscle pain is much more. Your front muscles get sore from the surgery, but your back will also start to ache too, from walking hunched over. As long as you take it slowly, kind of log roll yourself in and out of bed, that kind of thing, you should be ok.
I had a LBL and to be honest I did not have a lot of discomfort sure I had to roll out of bed rather than sit up cuz the stomach muscles were sore I had a LBL/tummy tuck, and Breast left implants and the Boobs were much more painful even though I had been told the tummy part was the worst.
Maybe because I was expecting it to be so bad it really wasn't . ANyway I am so happy with my surgeries kind of addicting now I want more LOL just can't afford it but if I could.
Best wishes to you on your journey

I didn't find it to be painful at all. When I had my surgery the Doc was surprised to find my stomach muscles in perfect condition so there was no repair on those. As far as the incisions, I had no pain at all just lots of tightness and I walked hunched over for a while. But I was able to sleep in a bed on my back immediately with legs propped up on pillows. Stomach positions are still difficult for me because of the tightness, but I was on my side after about a week I also has my breasts lifted at the same time and that was no big deal.

I don't know if mine's exactly what your talking about or not. I had LBL w/thigh lift 10 days ago. They also lipo'd the outer thigh area & did the butt lift w/augmentation. I must say, when I swell, the buttocks are really the most uncomfortable. I can sit & lay (propped up) fine & try to use a very soft pillow to offset the position I'm sitting in & help w/the discomfort. I've been able to sit in my recliner just fine. I haven't used the pain meds (just Tylenol) since Saturday & plan on going back to work on Thursday (desk job). The pain at first is horrendous, my hubby had to lift me in & out of bed. But after about 2 days it was better. There was no fat grafting? into my buttocks, just skin used to build up the buttocks along with the LBL & thigh lift helping w/all the skin. They removed about 10 lbs of skin. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks!
