Percocet absorption?
I fell down the stairs two hours ago and have really hurt my knee/back. I think I passed out because I don't remember going down at all and DH says I was talking a little funny just prior. THink my blood sugar was too low? I have been having some trouble REMEMBERING to eat the past couple days....anyway, I took two percocet b/c my knee really hurts and I don't feel ANy relief at all. Percs usually make me feel a little "wired"at the very least. Is there anyone who can tell me if perc is usually not absorbed well after RNY? anything that might work better? I can call my PCP in the am and ask for something different if need be.........
i find percocet to be very effective for pain mgmt post RNY. i take 5/325 post all plastics procedures and feel the effects within 30 mins. If i take 2 I really! feel it. That being said individuals respond differently to medication and if is not working for you call your dr and ask for something else.
Oh- also from your post it seems you've had these meds at home since before RNY not sure how far out you are but are the meds expired? You'd have felt some effect anyhow I'm sure but taking expired meds is never a good thing.
