I think I know exactly how you feel. I'm having plastics this week, and borrowed from my 401K to do it. Part of me feels incredibly guilty and selfish, but I still want to do it.
When I first had my WLS, I thought I would not want plastics at all, as long as I looked ok in my clothes. As time went on, I changed my thinking. I'm so unhappy with my body, and also so close to finally feeling "normal" that I want to go through with it.
My biggest fear going into surgery isnt about any complication, it's actually about worrying that the results wont be worth it...that I'll be "the one" who somehow doesnt get a large amount of improvement....that kind of thing.
To make matters worse, my husband lost his job last week. I really considered putting off my surgery, but he is so supportive and wants me to do this for myself so I am.

I can relate to how you feel. I too thought that I would be happy with out plastics and now I am thin but I look really abnormal and it's harder than I thought it would be. I already had a tummy tuck, my insurance company paid for it. The results are amazing and I am really happy. Now I just want to feel like a woman again. I am literally smaller than an size A. Completely flat. I never thought that would happen.
Good luck on your upcoming surgery! Hope you get the results you are hoping for. Sorry to hear your husband lost his job, but it's great that he is so supportive.

Personally -- I think you should go for it! I'm one of the thriftiest/saving people out there and I would do it for me (once I got over the initial feelings of guilt). Having wls and losing this weight has done something wonderful for us -- now let's finish things and reconstruct what we need to to get the full enjoyment out of our wls!! You deserve it.
