What did you wear after your arm lift?

I love my arms too. I wouldn't trade my scar to go back to the hanging bat wings for anything. My scars have healed very well and not very noticeable at all. I wear sleeveless and halter and tank tops without any hesitation.

Lori ,I have debated about the scar for about a year . But after spending two summer's in sweaters give me the scar. Most that i've seen you really can't see and my skin flap out ways the scar (for me). I guess its up to the person, but my arms are visibly to me a eye soar . I've had several surgeries from c-section to thyroid removal all my scars came out totally different my wls scar is the darkest . So I will keep my finger crossed hope for the best , but this august I WILL have a tank top on with NO cardigan... Good Luck do whats best for you!

Thanks so much, I do understand about covering up your arms.  I do it every day!  It sure will be nice not to have to cover them up.  I guess my other thought is the money.  I am going into debt $6000 for my arms and debating whether I want to do that.

Thanks,
Lori

Talk to your surgeon about placement.

My arm scars run right down the tan line I have from being a boater - and so is almost invisible.  My surgeons placed it so that it would be difficult to see unless someone was looking for it.  Yes, it can be seen... but most people don't notice it, even when I do wear short /cap sleeves (and I work with people who notice and comment on EVERYTHING).

Ladyjmw, I just wanted to say we both had Dr Marymor as our gastric by-pass doctor, and now i see you are using Dr Lam for plastics. I also had Dr Lam for almost a full body reconstruction, he is a gem of a doctor. I just found that to be interesting we had the same choices for doctors. You are in good hands, and i would also like to wish you good luck with your procedures, and you find...its the best feeling when all the swelling is down   You might say the same thing I said  " that is the money well spent"   Take Care....Rick

Dr Lam is the best, He and I have not always seen eye to eye, but he always went beyond the calling of a great doctor( we must also include Dr Marymor, who i saw about 2 weeks ago. he is doing well, he is back at the Barix again...hopefully for good.) You will do just find with your surgery, and tell Joan,Valle,Barb,Linda,Erica,Gabrielle, I hope I didn't forget anyone Hello! You can Email at [email protected]...
Thanks ...Rick

My scars are horrible, I talk about it on my blog in more detail.  Overall, I am glad I did it, but not happy about everything.  It is the lesser of the evils though.
