does your hair fall out with PS too?

I don't want to lose anymore hair! I lost a ton with my lap band and a ton more with my sleeve
revision. Today is 2 years since my sleeve revision and my hair has finally stopped falling out.

Is it from rapid weight loss? Or is it from any kind of surgery?

Will PS cause more hair loss?

Must be weightloss because I didn't have any loss with my PS and I had 2 surgeries 2 weeks apart (over 8 hours of surgery time...maybe 9) where my VSG was 1 hour and I lost a ton of hair.

Mine has a little bit, but much less and for much less time.

It all depends on how your body responds to trauma, and it considers any surgery trauma. Some bodies basically say "eh," and some freak out.

it does happen with rapid WL, but it can also happen from anesthesia, I didnt loose any hair from all my procedures Good LUck, but anyway if u do it will grow back and PS is SO WORTH IT ALL

I'm worried too. I'm STILL losing hair at a rapid rate!

I've had several surgeries with general anesthesia and my hair has thinned with every one. I'm expecting the same to happen with plastic surgery, too.

Darn! I was hoping everyone said they lost no hair with PS. I probably will, cause I lost it when I had my gall bladder surgery too. I thought it was just a continuation of losing it from VSG
but since it did go on forever, I bet the gb surgery had something to do with it too.

I didn't lose any either with my 3 PS surgeries (2 surgeries and a revision)....

HW-218/SW-208/CW-126/ Lowest Weight-121/Goal-125 - hit 8/23/09/Height-5'3"

Regain 30 lbs from 2012 to 2016 - got back on track and lost it. Took 8 months.
90+/- pounds lost BMI - 24 or so
Starting BMI between 35 and 40ish?

Well good! This is encouraging! I know there is nothing you can do to prevent it if it's going to happen. I have been on biotin since my band surgery in 06, I don't even know why I bother to take it other than I am just so used to taking it now.
