Has anybody heard of or have had experience with Dr. Gloria Rockwell in Ottawa, ON, Canada? I am getting mixed reviews on ratemds.com (with one bad review by a post-gastric bypass patient).

I think a lot of our doctors have very little experience with post GB patients.  I'm sure that will change in the next couple of years.  I had Dr. Silverman do all my work and I was very happy with him as a surgeon.  I hear that Dr. Nodwell is also very good.

Thanks wondering. Hubby is looking for a surgeon that will work with OHIP and so his doctor at the Weight Management Clinic is sending a referral to Dr.Nandagopal in Scarborough, Dr.Guay in Ottawa (which he will not even be going for the consult with because we know people who have had surgery with him and we are not comfortable with him) and Dr.Rockwell (which we know nothing about). I know people who have had surgery with both Dr.Silverman and Dr.Nodwell, but Silverman will not work with OHIP and Nodwell is on sabbatical right now (and I don't think he works with OHIP either).

I've had a couple of friends (not WLS patients) who have had PS with Dr. Callaghan in Ottawa - he works with OHIP.  They were satisfied with his work.
