I had one Feb 17th and it was pretty extensive. There is pain. You might regret it for a day but I was up and walking, ok shuffling the next morning. I made myself walk, you have to. The intense pain is for a few days unless you cough or sneeze, then it's a bit longer. I was back on a bike after 2 1/2 weeks. Ab work after 6 weeks. I was on pain meds for about 1 1/2 weeks.

I had my TT on December 14, 2010 and by December 16th was just taking tylenol as needed.  I didn't find it to be horrible.  I was up nd walking right away ... the drains were more bothersome than anything.

I agree, not too bad.  I took the big dope for 2 days then on ES Tylenol.
I am back at work, half days, after 2 weeks.  However, I am tired after about 4 hours.
Walking bent over was the worst part for me - made my back ache - but now I have NO back pain after 23 years - taking 8.5 pounds of fat/skin off and tightening the abs has made all the difference in the world.  I am still sore but that's to be expected - I had the anchor cut.

I have a new philosophy, I'm only going to dread one day at a time.  Charlie Brown

I too had little to no pain after my TT, and I was anchor cut. It was pretty extensive and they took 6lbs of skin off. I would have went back to work after 2 weeks but I had to wait 3 due to drains.
